Free Broxtowe Business Support Surgery

We’re inviting local businesses to a FREE Business Support Surgery. Whether you’re already in business or just about to start up, you have the opportunity to speak to Nottinghamshire County Council’s Business Adviser, Alison North.

Domestic Abuse Training: Creating Safe Communities

 

The J9 Domestic Abuse Initiative aims to raise awareness of domestic abuse and assist people experiencing domestic abuse to get support safely.

J9 Training is:

  • Free for organisations in Nottingham & Nottinghamshire
  • 90 minutes – available virtually or face to at your business
  • Part of a nationwide response to domestic violence and abuse

NBV: Start Up Loans

 

A Start Up Loan is a personal loan for business purposes. It aims to help individuals starting a new venture which is either still in the planning stages or has been trading for up to 12 months, although in certain circumstances this may be extended to 24 months.

Anyone aged over 18 at the time of registration and living in the UK, is eligible to apply for a loan. They must have a viable business idea and want to use the loan monies to support this venture.

Start Up Loans offers unsecured loans of up to £25,000 over 1-5 years at an interest rate of 6%.

Grants for Young People: Apply Now

 

Y-NOTTS are dedicated to providing pathways to fresh beginnings and enhanced employability prospects by providing grants to young people for the purpose of furthering their training and personal development.

Their mission centres on helping young individuals aged 16 to 30 in Nottinghamshire who face financial hurdles in accessing education or training.

They also support people who have the ambition to set up their own business and need equipment to achieve their objectives.

FREE Business Support Available through the Broxtowe Accelerator

 

Broxtowe Accelerator is designed to help businesses across Broxtowe to start, sustain, grow and innovate. Businesses can book a place on any of the range of events taking place across the East Midlands.

Access to the Accelerator Training Workshops and Events are fully funded so are FREE to attend and open to businesses located in eligible UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) areas. Details about eligibility can be found on the D2N2 website.

The project is led by East Midlands Chamber and funded through a proportion of the Council’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund allocation. The project, which runs until 31 March 2025, offers support to all businesses across the district, with added support for high-growth and scaling businesses looking to innovate.
