Welcome to Broxtowe Ramblers

We’re part of the Ramblers, the charity that helps everyone, everywhere, enjoy walking.  We’re dedicated to looking after paths, leading walks and encouraging everyone to get outside and discover how walking boosts your health and your happiness. The Broxtowe area of Nottinghamshire includes Beeston, Chilwell, Cossall, Eastwood, Greasley, Kimberley, Nuthall, Stapleford, Toton, Trowell and Watnall.

Throughout the year we offer a regular programme of walks on Wednesdays and Sundays and occasionally on other days too; the walks vary between 4-8 miles and 9-12 miles and there can be a choice of walks on Wednesdays. All our walks are led by volunteers and details of the Leaders can be found by clicking on the Walks tab on Menu bar then click walk programme. We also try to arrange a walking break every year. Details of our past breaks can be found on the group holiday page of the web site. Visit our Facebook page for regular posts with photographs of our walks.

In Broxtowe we have left it to walk leaders to decide whether they wish to restrict numbers on their walks, which may well be for good practical reasons. If in any doubt, we would advise that you contact the leader. The Risk Assessment done in advance by the walk leader is kept for 12 months, in accordance with Ramblers guidelines.

Fresh air and gentle exercise can do a world of good for your mental and physical health.  You can continue to access independent walking routes on the Ramblers member app and on our national website as a member of the Ramblers.
